BLUE EYES PLECO PDF Print E-mail
Blueeyestankshot3The Legendary Blue Eyes Pleco has finally made its way back to the islands after 10 years of near extinction! Due to the increasing pollution dumped into their habitat located in the very remote areas in South America, the population of these fish has diminished drastically. Very close to extintion, this majestic species was once thought to be gone from the hobby entirely and has only started to resurface recently in 2008. Aquatic Imports Hawaii was very excited for the very rare oppertunity to purchase one of these exotic beast, known for its legendary blue eyes, hence the common name, the Blue Eyes Pleco.  This fish has undoubtedly become one of the rarest and most expensive of all freshwater fish in the hobby! Being one of the rarest speceis of loricariidae on the planet, it has become an unmistakable symbol amongst hobbiest.
